Look 13: Have You Ever Been To Boston?

So, have you ever been to Boston? Well, I haven't.
But, my dad had the opportunity to visit Boston recently, on a business trip to the States.
While he was there, he bought me this tshirt.

I'm wearing the tshirt with: a DIY zipper jacket, a white shirt, a maxi skirt, my bow flats and dark grey tights.
Why tights? Because it is still kinda cold out here, but I didn't want to stop wearing my maxi skirt, so I added the tights for extra warmth.

I did a post about DIY tutorials I found on the web and this jacket's zipper detail is one of them so if you want the tutorial for it Click Here.

I feel like the jacket was totally worth making and I am looking forward to do another DIYed item.
What do you think?

Look 12: In The Forest Deep

Hi guys!
This is my latest outfit, worn on Wednesday. Well, yesterday. :D
Its getting warmer around here so I can stroll around without a jacket and a scarf.

I'm wearing: a long sleeved turtle neck, a printed sleeveless peplum, dark jeans from Levis and white bow flats. Oh! Also a black bangle and my purple beanie.

My dad bought me this top on his last visit to Korea. He really nailed it this time, not just this top but other really cool items that you will see soon.

Do It Yourself!

One of the other things I am really passionate about, besides fashion and taking outfit photos, is DIYs.
I constantly find myself on the internet looking at the enormous variety of tutorials and inspirations for my next DIY project.
So I thought I would integrate that passion here on to the blog.
By posting weekly DIY inspiration and tutorials I find on the web, followed by my attempts at them.

These are my 5 fave DIYs of the Week:

I love this idea! I saw a few of these zipper jackets/blazers on Lookbook a while ago.
The link leads you to a tutorial with very clear steps, so it seems pretty simple to make, if you have all the materials. I already know what to recycle to make this! ;-)

2. DIY Yoyo Flower Necklace
photo from: anna . evers

Also by the same DIY blog. A pretty easy yet cute necklace.
I have tons of scraps from sewing clothing, so this will use them up.
I think I will make some for my little sister and my nieces. They would love it!

3. Fringed Tshirt DIY
photos from: SABRINA TURNER DESIGN

This is a great summer DIY idea. Although I am not in summer now I think doing this to my old tshirts seems enjoyable.

4. Tank Top To Beach Tote

I'm not much of a purse girl. I prefer across the shoulder bags and clutches.
I never tried drawstring bags though, I think they would be nice to carry things.

5. DIY Straw Necklace
photo from: Dana's Fashion Blog

I can't believe this is made with straws. So cool.
I will definitely try this, the materials are too easy to find. ^_^

That is all for this week.
I will be attempting at at least 2 of these DIYs and show you the results.
Here's to happy DIYing!!

Look 11: Tropical Winter

Hi Everybody!! ^_^
While the Northern Hemisphere is warming up bringing that half of the globe summery days.
We here down South are experiencing our coldest few months.
It started on Sunday, it was my cousin's birthday party, and unexpectedly, we found ourselves going home because of how cold it got that night.

This is what I wore yesterday, June 11, coincidentally.
It was a cold day, 13 degrees Celsius when I left home. It got warmer as the day went along.
I'm wearing: a white polo t-shirt underneath, Jeans, leather jacket, 2 scarves, my favorite studded flats and leg warmers. Oh, and a purple beanie, of course!

Look 10: Outside

Hi yall!
This my outfit for today. I decided to keep it simple and stick with 2 items of clothing.

I'm wearing a Traditional african dress I cropped into a top, Guess jeans and jeweled flat sandals.
Details:

I decided to take the pictures outdoors this time, my sister helped me with them so I didn't have to do the self timer thing... ;-)

Here is my favorite shot:

Look 9: Sick and Tired

Hi there! My newest outfit.
i was feeling a little bored from spending so much time at home that I decided to try something different. I was inspired by remembering the days i used to skate.
Miss those days :)

I'm wearing a basic black tank, a faded denim jacket, jeans I decided to cut up, my DIY embroidered and painted converse sneakers, a chain necklace and a black beanie.

The sneakers where just plain ankle high converse sneakers.
I cut them and added come white trim because I didn't like the ankle high thing.
I embroidered some designs, added some buttons and painted them with nail polish with some glitter, to spice things up.

I'm pretty happy about the result. ^_^
